Bethesda announcement: How to watch the ‘Oblivion’ remake announcement live

Nearly 20 years after its release on Xbox 360, it seems like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is actually coming back.

Original developer Bethesda shared a quick post on its X account on Monday confirming an announcement livestream on Tuesday at 11 a.m. ET. You can watch it on Bethesda’s YouTube or Twitch channels when the time comes. The announcement was paired with a graphic featuring the character “IV” and a distinctive black-and-red look, which all but confirms that this is Oblivion-related.

Rumors of an Oblivion remake have been around for a while now, but they started feeling a lot more urgent last week when legitimate-looking screenshots leaked off of a development studio’s website. Perhaps the wildest part is that the game could actually launch today, instead of just getting a trailer. Journalist Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb said on his GameBreaking News podcast last week that the game is shadow-dropping this week, and he’s been right about these things before.

This is just one more win for nostalgic millennials, I suppose.
